Tooth Fairy Spotting!

This week both the kids lost teeth ON THE SAME DAY!  I almost couldn't believe it.  They put the teeth under their pillows and waited for their visit from the Tooth Fairy.  The Tooth Fairy must've been running late, and she was spotted by Kaiden as he was waking up the next morning.  Kaiden was so excited to tell me all about the details.  For those of you who don't already know, she's only about 3" tall.  She was wearing a pink and purple dress with a tooth on the front of it.  She also had on tiny pink shoes with teeth on the front.  When she realized Kaiden woke up, he said she let out a tiny yelp, dropped the tooth and went flying through the wall to the outside.  And yes, there were magic sparkles all around her!  She must've been waiting to come back until after we were gone, because when we got back from our outings yesterday, the teeth were gone.  Kaiden was a little disappointed that molars weren't worth the $50 he was hoping for (and yes, he did write a note asking for $50 because it was a molar, and they must - of course - be worth more), but he was so happy that he did get a peek at the tiny fairy!

Farewell Baby Tooth!

Tonight Kiersen lost her first baby tooth.  It's been loose for about a week or so, but today she came home and it was really wiggly.  She immediately ran up to the bathroom to try to yank it out with dental floss.  I told her I didn't think it was quite ready to come out yet, but brother was certain he could get the job done.....and he did.  Since I don't allow the Tooth Fairy to take the first tooth, I had to pay out $5.00 so I could keep it for myself, which meant that Kiersen had officially saved half of the amount needed to buy her Sweet Tears Baby she's been dreaming of.  I told her I would pay for the other half instead of buying her a Halloween goody bag this year.  She agreed, but what she didn't know is I had already bought little Miss 'Bailee Marie' and she was in hiding for Christmas.  Imagine her surprise when brother set the baby in front of her on the floor! Beat that, Tooth Fairy!
