Kaiden Turns 12!

Oh boy are we in trouble if she's driving!

One of the many tad poles Kaiden caught

Kaiden taking selfies of him and (almost all of) his 'crew'.  Zoey was fast asleep!

Getting ready to eat his 'ultimate feast' at Red Lobster

Yesterday Kaiden turned 12, and he wanted to go to his favorite place to celebrate the day with friends.  So we loaded up his friend, Logan, and Kiersen's friend, Zoey, and we headed to Hickory Run State Park to swim at the lake beach.  It was so very hot which made it the perfect day to be in the water.  Kaiden of course enjoyed catching catfish, minnows and tad poles the best.  We finished up the night with pizza and oreo cookie ice cream cake.  Tonight we went to Red Lobster for his actual birthday dinner, since last night we were all too tired after a long day in the sun.  Happy Birthday Kaiden Tyler.  I love you more than words could ever say!

Back Tucks on the Floor Beam . . .

It'll be a while until she does these on the high beam, but this is a great start!

Back Tucks on Flat Floor Beam . . .

This week Kiersen started working on her back tucks on the floor beams.  This video is of the tape line and the next video will be on the floor beam . . .

Kaiden's Large Mouth Bass . . .

This week Kaiden caught the biggest large mouth bass he's ever caught.  As you can see, he was pretty happy about it.  (I'm sure you can tell by that smile)

Someone has a Shoe Fetish . . .

Someone has a shoe fetish, and it's not me!  She just had to have a pair of 'high heels' and couldn't decide which ones, so we ordered all three of them so she could try them on and decide.  This girl does not take after me at all - she must've gotten this addiction from her Grandma Nan!

4D Movie!

On Thursday after gymnastics we stopped at Chocolate World to see the 4D movie.  It was Kaiden's first time seeing it, but Kiersen and I had already gone for her field trip.  Such a neat half hour!

Fishing, Fishing, Fishing . . .

Okay, so I told you we go fishing A LOT.  I'm really not exaggerating - you can find us at the fishing hole 2-4 times a week!  In these photos we were at Elizabethtown College, the Milton Hershey School and good old Pine Grove.  You never know where our next fishing adventure will take us!

We Have Fish!

The kids have been wanting fish for our pond, so last week we took them to pick some out.  Kaiden picked two koi fish, which he named Bumble Bee and Tiger, and Kiersen picked 30 gold fish, which she didn't name because there were 'way too many'.  They were so excited about it, and we can't wait to watch them grow!

Handstand on Beam . . .

Just a quick video of Kiersen last night at her practice.  She is working on controlling her movements on beam.  Here she's working on her handstands.

Fishing with Cooper . . .

ONE QUICK THING BEFORE I START THIS POST . . . .
So by now you probably think that Kaiden only owns one shirt - his red Under Armour shirt!  I assure you that's not the case, but for some reason every time we go fishing (which is a lot), he picks out that shirt to wear!

NOW, ON TO THE POST . . .
This morning my brother, Gary, met us for a morning fish at the Canal in Pine Grove.  We caught some sunny fish, bass and even a snapping turtle.  It was fun to watch Cooper get all excited when a fish got on his line.  When he reeled in his first fish and touched it he said 'oh no, it peed on me'.  So cute!  Hopefully we can do another fishing trip sometime soon!

Hershey Park Boardwalk . . .

On Monday I took the kids to Hershey Park.  It was a hot day so we decided to hang out in the Boardwalk Area.  They were drenched, and they were happy!

New Fishing Hole . . .

This week Kaiden and I discovered a new fishing hole near Kiersen's gymnastics.  The fishing hole wasn't all that great, but the waterfall at the fishing hole sure was pretty!
