Sugar Cookies!

 Last night the kids and I made our first batch of sugar cookies for the holidays.  I'm not a fancy mom, and we always do premade cookie dough, but the kids sure do have fun decorating them.  

A Letter to Klide & Santa . . .

A few weeks ago Kiersen wrote a special letter to her elf, Klide telling him our tree was set up and asking him to come early.  I love the part where she says 'You are the best elf ever.  You make everything magical'.  Last night she set out her letting for Santa, and guess who came to get it....that's right - Klide!  She is so happy!

 

RJ in the Leaves . . .

With the assistance of Kaiden (who raked up the leaves), I was able to get a few pictures of RJ in a leaf pile this year.  Reminds me of Remmy and how he used to play in the leaves all the time, and loved when you buried him in them.  

Fishing & Fall Colors . . .

Sometimes Kade will talk me into going fishing instead of doing his school work.  Can you guess what kind of day this was?  It was a warm day and we were trying to enjoy the last bit of fall before the weather turns colder.  

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree . . .

It's my very favorite time of the year - the time when we set up the tree, bake cookies, watch Christmas movies and play Christmas music (oh wait . . . I guess I actually listen to music all 12 months of the year, don't I?!!?!?)  

Pancakes for B&B . . .

 Kiersen loves making pancakes for her babies.

Kaiden's (Almost 30") Catfish . . .

 

Kade and I love to go catfish fishing.  In late October it starts to get pretty cold in the evenings, but on this night, we were so excited about his catch that we weren't cold at all!  His biggest catfish yet - almost 30"!  Can't wait until next year, because now it's really too cold to go.
