Cotton Candy . . .

Kiersen used some of her Christmas money to buy a cotton candy machine.  This girl certainly loves her candy!  This is probably one of the best purchases she's ever made.  She's made SO much cotton candy with this thing!

For the Love of CHICKENS!

Although our chickens started out as a 30 school project for Kade, Kiersen is the one that has truly fallen in love with them.  A few chicken stories . . . .

THE SICK CHICKEN & HER NURSE - When the chickens were just a three weeks old Pepper got really sick.  He puffed up about two sizes more than the other chickens and could barely lift his head.  Kiersen was heartbroken and decided she was going to do whatever it took to help that chicken live.  We allowed her to bring her inside to 'nurse' back to health (honestly, we didn't think she was even going to make it).  Kiersen spent the entire weekend with her, giving her warm baths, petting her, holding her, feeding her water through pipettes, and even put her in her doll's hospital bed.  She must've been a pretty good nurse because Pepper is alive and healthy today thanks to her.

THE CHICKEN SALON - Kiersen likes to paint the chicken's nails, and they can also occassionally be found dressed in scarves, santa hats, sleep masks or baby blankets.

GYMNASTICS FOR CHICKENS - Kiersen wanted to make sure her chickens had the same passion for gymnastics as she does, so she taught them how to balance and walk across her gymnastics bar.

CHICKEN BIKE & DERBY CAR RIDING - Kiersen often takes the chickens for rides with her on her derby car and bicycle.  Yep, you heard that right!  The only one who's not a fan of the bike is Pearls.

A BOY CHICKEN? - We just found out that Stripes is a rooster.  Hoping he doesn't turn mean because right now he's the sweetest one.

Just a girl and her chickens!
