Baby It's Cold Outside!

Even though it was freezing outside, I bundled up the kids and out we went for some sleigh rides!  Not much snow has fallen, but because we also got some ice, it was perfect!  I'm really enjoying my time off with the kids!  Forecast is calling for more snow on Saturday!  Bring it on :)

Grandma Nan, Kiersen & the New Addition

Well....after a very busy day, we finally arrived at Grandma Nan & Paw Paw's house for dinner and gifts.  Kiersen was extremely tired by this point and didn't want to do much other than rock her new baby.  Kaiden wasn't tired though - he was running all around the house with his cousin's flying his new Hess chopper.  A very special end to a very special day.

Mom & Dad Reading the Note About Their Present

No matter how old I get, it's still magical when I walk into my parent's house on Christmas morning.  Everything looks so pretty....perfect piles of gifts for each of the kids....stockings bigger than  most of the kids......neat surprises for everyone...... and the yummy breakfast dad always prepares.  More than it all, I am greatful that I have a great family to share this special day with.  Nothing means more to me than just being with them.

Christmas Morning...

Christmas morning was pretty crazy in the Echternach Household.  Boxes and paper were everywhere!  Truly I thought I'd never get it all put back in order.  Kaiden was super excited about everything this year and tore open all his packages before I could even blink an eye.  Kiersen, on the other hand, is still trying to make sense of everything, and had to take each of her gifts over to show her grandpa before moving on to the next one.  Remmy, who usually tears into his presents, wasn't 'into' it as much this year and only opened one gift.  Well - next stop...Grandma & PawPaw B's!

Ready for Santa....

This year we 'mixed' it up a bit...instead of Santa getting cookies, he got cupcakes & instead of the reindeer getting carrots, they got deer minerals and magic reindeer food.  They must've enjoyed them, because Santa only left behind the cupcake wrappers and one small crumb, and the reindeer licked their bowl clean!

On Christmas Eve we went to my brother and sister-in-law's house for our annual party.  On our way there it started snowing.  What a nice surprise to have a white Christmas!
