A Gymnast, Not a Princess . . .
I wanted to take some princess dress pictures of Kiersen this weekend, but she just wanted to take gymnastics leotard photos (that's no surprise)! Guess you can tell who won that debate!

Just a Boy & His Bow . . .
He was so serious while he was shooting this weekend - I couldn't get him to smile for anything - just pure focus. I guess he's under pressure - archery season is only 6 months away - ha ha.
Giants By Kiersen, Counting by Eliza . . .
At the birthday party this weekend Kiersen was swinging around the bars like a monkey again! I thought this video was adorable. Her friend's sister, Eliza, who is 6 was counting for her. She was counting quickly because she wanted Kiersen to play with her.
Working on Her Full Twist . . .
And we have a twister! I get confused just looking at her twist so fast!
Front Flyaway . . .
This weekend Kiersen landed her first front flyaway. She's done these before, but this is the first time to a mat! She was at a birthday party, so that's why she wasn't wearing grips.
Double Front Off Trampoline . . .
Kiersen was at a birthday party at the gym this weekend and had so much fun trying new things. This video shows her doing a double front tuck off the trampoline into the pit.

Tie Dye!
Kiersen got a tie dye kit from my brother and sister-in-law for her birthday. This weekend was nice, so we cracked open the dyes and Kiersen got to make three tee shirts and a swim coverup. She was so happy with how they turned out!

Fishing at Indian Town Run . . .
Over Easter break I took the kids trout fishing at Indiantown Run. Kaiden spent two hours there happily fishing, while Kiersen spent to hours there happily doing cartwheels and turns on every downed tree and posing for pictures on my cell phone. She wanted little to do with fishing, but was SO happy and proud when Kaiden let her carry out his stringer of fish he had caught. She held out those fish for all the other fishermen to see and every car that passed she had to stop and show off 'her' fish. Cars were beeping and slowing down just so they could smile at the proud little girl who 'caught all the fish'. Kaiden really melted my heart that day. I'm sure he would have loved to be the one carrying those fish down the road, but he gave that up so he could see the smile on her face.

It'll Always Be 'Blanchey's Playground' . . .
Since the kids were little we've always gone to 'Blanchey's Playground'. We named it Blanchey's Playground because it was by Blanche's house, and we would love to go visit her when we were done playing. It's been a while since we've been there, but one of the last times we were there we stopped to ask Blanche if she wanted to go with us. Unfortunately she didn't think she could make the walk, so we went alone. Blanche has since passed away, but this playground will always be known as 'Blanchey's Playground'.
Easter 2021 . . . .
Easter was low-key this year. Kiersen made us all bunny pancakes and then we opened Easter baskets and had an egg hunt in the woods. Hunting eggs in the forest is fun, but it's hard to remember where we hid them all - a week later, we're still missing five of them! RJ wasn't any help either, instead of hunting the eggs with us, he laid by the Easter baskets guarding the eggs already found!
