Practicing With His New Target . . .

Yesterday Kaiden's new target arrived in the mail, and he is so excited!  All he wants to do is shoot.  He wanted to shoot last night after getting home from gymnastics at 10:00, and then he told me he wanted to wake up and shoot at 4:30 this morning.  Something tells me we'll be shooting tonight!

About a month ago Kenny took Kaiden to buy a new bow.  This time the bow isn't for hunting, it's for practicing for when he's older and can join the archery team at school.  He still has 2 or 3 years until he can be on the team, so he's using the time to learn everything he can about shooting.  At first he was frustrated because it doesn't have sights like his hunting bow, but he's now 'grouping' his arrows around the bottle cap which he uses as the 'bullseye'.  He has a pretty good coach (Kenny), so I'm sure he'll do well in the sport!

Christmas Morning 2016 . . .

 

Christmas morning was as crazy as always - lots of paper flying in the air, smiles and fun.  This year Kaiden got his bow he's been wanting.  Kenny decided  it would be fun to wrap up his old bow and see his reaction.  His reaction was priceless.  He made a weird face and said 'where's the real bow'? Kiersen got lots of fun baby things - a car seat, a stroller, clothing, etc., and Santa brought her an American Girl Doll, who she named Kylee.  RJ didn't want much to do with his opening his presents upstairs with us, and tried grabbing them all in his mouth to take downstairs to open.
