Kaiden's Cookout...

Although Kaiden is sick right now, he insisted that he wanted to have a 'cookout' tonight by the campfire.  Kiersen got her first taste of a toasted marshmallow, Kaiden loved roasting the hot dogs, and Remmy....well, he was disappointed - this time around he only got 4 1/2 hot dogs.  He was hoping for a few more!

Turkey Hunting 2012 - Day #1

Today marked the first day of Turkey Season 2012.  (Second to Christmas around my house....wait....maybe third, I forgot about deer season).  Last night as Kenny was getting his hunting gear ready he told Kaiden he would take him turkey hunting with him, but not until he got back from his morning hunt (which started at 4:30 a.m.)  At midnight Kaiden came downstairs while I was working on HuckleBee orders and said he was too excited to sleep.  I told him he better try because he may be so tired he won't wake up to go.  He quickly changed his mind about the sleeping thing and said to me 'mommy....be sure to wake me up when daddy goes hunting in the morning'.  I reminded him that his daddy told him he would take him hunting after he went out by himself in the morning, and then he responded 'yes, I know, but....maybe he'll change his mind'.  Too cute! 

At the end of the day there was no turkey, but he was still happy.  He told me 'you know what this means mommy....no turkey dinner tonight'.  Gosh I love the things he comes out with sometimes :)

I'm Hungry!

Kiersen started doing the most adorable thing.  When she's hungry, she goes to the spot where we keep her highchair tray, pulls it out and brings it into the Kitchen.  Most of the time she's smiling as she's doing it, but on this particular day she was screaming (guess she must've been REALLY hungry).  And...notice her sock - she was so mad that we weren't quick enough to get her a snack that she tried yanking her sock off in sheer frustration.  Oh her little temper tantrums.....she gets them from her daddy :)

Juice Pops!

The other day we decided to make juice pops.  It was fun but messy, so I decided to throw them in the tub while they were eating them.  They thought it was great, and I didn't have to worry about the mess.

Our Lil' Speedster . . .

Not sure what happened, but all of the sudden Kaiden is 'into' his four-wheeler.  He can't seem to get enough.  Last weekend Kenny was outside with him for about an hour and a half.  When Kenny told him it was time to get off, he got mad because he wanted to ride some more.  Our lil' speedster...

Pine Cones...

No matter how many times I tell her not to play with the pine cones, she just doesn't listen.  Not sure what intrigues her about them.  Soon I won't have any pine cones left - she's plucking them like chickens!

Easter 2012

On Friday we were all prepared to dye our Easter eggs.....that is until we opened the egg coloring kit and realized they forgot to include the dye! Oh what a disappointed little man I had that night! Try #2 - Saturday night. Success! The new kit included the dye!
