Gymnastics 2023 - Level 7 . . .

This picture may seem out of place, but this little hamburger traveled with her to every meet this year.  Her good luck charm which she named 'Hammy GB'

Kiersen started at a new gym in June.  She now attends ASAP Gymnastics.  It's been a very rough year for her.   She had a great summer and learned a bunch of new skills, but in October she developed a mental block which has been very frustrating.  She lost a lot of the skills she's had since she was 5/6 years old and her self confidence suffered for most of the year.  There have been lots of tears (from both her and from me) this year, but there have also been a lot of smiles.  She's made a ton of new friends who have been amazing teammates, and she's even met a boy (here 'gym crush') who has been so supportive of her.  We're not sure what next year will bring - most likely a new sport - but we're excited to see what the future holds.

Kiersen Photoshoot . . .

Well, I can't seem to get Kade to do photoshoots with me (unless he's fishing or hunting), but at least Kiersen lets me play with photography every now and again.  Here are a few of the photos I took during a recent shoot.

Level 7 Qualifier - ASAP Gymnastics 2022 . . .

Kiersen's first competition as an ASAP gymnast was the Level 7 Qualifier in State College.  The scores were very low for this competition in general, which was a bit discouraging to her, but I was extremely proud of her anyway!  She was not only competing for a new team, this was her first meet and all of her old teammates were there competing against her as well.  She handled the pressure like she always does - with a smile on her face!

RJ Leotard . . .

This leotard was perfect for this RJ lovin' girl!  The pup on the leo was RJ when we brought him home!  Of course RJ wasn't too excited and didn't really want to pose with her for the picture!

GCH Gym Show . . .

Kiersen was asked to be part of the GCH gymnastics show this year.  She got to go to her old training center and perform her floor routine for the 'littles'.

Everyone's a Winner (January 27, 2022) . . .

When Kiersen hosts a gymnastics competition, all the participants are winners!

Pink Invitational . . .

In February we traveled to Philadelphia for the Pink Invitational.  Kiersen's team took second place.  The dressed up as doctors and nurses for the walk in which was fun.  The backs of their scrubs said 'a Hershey Kiss a day keeps covid away'.
