Kiersen's Kindergarten Program . . .

Tonight Kiersen had her Kindergarten Program at school.  She was so excited she went to bed early last night so she could be rested up for her 'performance'.  It's hard to believe she'll almost officially be a first grader!

Back to School . . .

Well, today is the day I've been dreading since school left out in June.....BUT.....today is also the day Kiersen has been looking forward to and counting down until for a quite some time now.  She was super excited to get her day started this morning.  Kaiden played it cool and acted like it wasn't a big deal, but my camera captured his smile when the school bus started coming up the mountain (see second last photo).  It's going to be an adjustment without them here, but I guess life is all about change.  Be safe . . . learn lots . . . momma loves you both!

Kindergarten Preview...

Well today was the big day - Kindergarten Preview Day! She's been excited about it for weeks!

Although I'm sad that in a week she'll be leaving on the bus with Kaiden, I am so happy that she has such an outgoing and bubbly personality.  As I watched many of the other kids clinging to their parent's legs today, I watched her randomly talk to everyone!  (I do believe she has my personality!) 

She met a girl right away in the hallway named Brinkley and immediately decided they were going to be friends.  Instead of holding my hand while we all walked into the auditorium, she grabbed her hand and off she went.  Imagine our surprise when we realized they are in the same class and they are also sitting right next to each other!  

And so this whole new chapter is about to begin....

Kindergarten Registration Day!

Today was Kindergarten Registration Day for Kiersen!  I can hardly believe that my 'baby' will be off to school in the fall.  She's super excited about all of it, but I'm not quite so sure.  I know I can't keep her little forever, but it sure feels like she's growing up fast!

My Kindergartener!!!

Yesterday was Kaiden's first day of Kindergarten.  He was so excited to go.  Kiersen, however, was not excited....when she realized that Kaiden got on the bus to go she started crying - I guess for her having him there at Preschool with her was comforting.  Kaiden looked tired when he got off the bus, and told me that they only got to be at recess 'for 13 seconds', that he 'didn't understand why they didn't get to play with all the toys that were in the classroom' and that he 'has a new best friend but didn't know his name yet because they hadn't traded that with each other yet'.  All in all, I think everything went pretty smoothly.  He was excited to go again today and says he can't wait to get his first homework assignment (something tells me he won't be excited about homework for long)!
