Picnic (& Tumbling) on the Deck...

Yesterday the weather was perfect!  It was about 75 degrees with sun and a gentle breeze, so Kiersen, RJ & I decided to have lunch on the deck.  Of course I got a gymnastics show too (because....after all....when doesn't Kiersen do gymnastics?).  Today is their last (half day) of school, so there will be many more picnic lunches to be had very soon.

I think the kids are getting a little spoiled by all the outside water games/activities and pool time we've been having.  Today we went to the park for a picnic and some playground time and within a half hour they didn't want to play because it was 'too hot'.

Last week the weather was so nice, so Kiersen and I decided to go and have a picnic lunch at the park.  She packed up a lunch for her and I and we were on our way.  The lunch consisted of fruit by the foot, goldfish crackers, granola bars and Special K bars!  She wasn't really too interested in eating....all she really wanted to do was play!

Last week Kiersen decided that it would be fun to have a picnic....only this time she didn't want to use real food and she didn't want to go outside.  She got out all her play food and her two favorite babies and she and I had a picnic for well over an hour.  Something tells me we'll be doing a lot of this this summer :)

The kids always love having picnics (even if they are indoors)....and what could be better than a picnic in pajammies eating pancakes!!!

On Thursday we had a picnic lunch as Sweet Arrow Lake with 'Blanchey'.  Because it rained the night before, the waterfall was really flowing.  We ate lunch, took a walk, went down by the lake and played at the playground.  It was a beautiful day - not too hot and very breezy.  To complete our day we stopped for slushies!  Hope we can do this again soon.
