Today the contractors started the roofing and the siding. We chose to go with the same color siding and roofing as our home so that it blends well overall. This afternoon we got our stone samples. Originally I liked the stone with the same colors as what we have on the house (because I love things to be 'matchy-matchy'), but Kenny kept talking about this one he saw that had some green hues in it. Today our stone contractor found Kenny's sample and dropped both samples off for us to choose from. Can you guess who's stone sample we're choosing? If you guessed me, you'd be wrong. Kenny was right - the green hues are very pretty, and will bring out the hunter green shutters. Of course that's the one with the long lead time though! Tomorrow they will be finishing up the siding and the roofing and will hopefully get to install my gable pediment I've been working on in the basement. That's my favorite part of the garage, so tomorrow should be an exciting day!
