ASAP InterSquad Meet 2022 . . .

 Kiersen had her first ASAP Inter Squad Meet on December 10th.  The team got split into two - a blue team (Kiersen's team) and a green team.  The blue team dressed up as sharks and the green team dressed up as Army soldiers.  

First Day of School . . .

Summer flew by, and the kids returned to school as NINTH and SIXTH graders.  Hard to believe Kade is in high school now!

Tri-Valley Archery Match . . .

Kaiden's last archery match of the season was on February 22nd at Tri-Valley High School.  He was SO nervous about this shoot, but he still did well at 253/300.  He's heading to the state competition in a week, and we can't wait to watch him there!  What a great season he's had, and we are so proud of him!

Upper Dauphin Archery Match . . .

On February 14th Kaiden had an archery match at Upper Dauphin.  He shot his best score at this tournament, coming in at 257/300.  The only problem with taking photos of archery competitions is all the shots look the same and I seldom get a shot of his face.  I love watching these matches!

Archery Match #3 . . . .

Today was Kaiden's third Archery Match.  He shot a 255/300.  He had the third best score of all 6th grade boys, and was 14th out of 50 middle school boys.  He was on the 'leader board' for a while and he was really excited, but he dropped 4 spots after the final results were in, but all-in-all, he has nothing to complain about, because he shot really well today.  

Kaiden's 'School' Pictures . . .

We don't get school pictures because the kids always come home with a fake smile.  But....give Kade a bow (or a gun....or a fishing rod...or a football), and he's all smiles!

First Day of School 2019 . . .

Yesterday the kiddos headed back to school.  It's funny how different a boy is than a girl.....

KAIDEN THE NIGHT BEFORE . . . 

(Me) - Do you want to pick out your first day of school outfit, or should I?

(Kaiden) - You can

(Me) - So you don't have a favorite you'd like to wear?

(Kaiden) - I don't care, I don't really even want to go.  I'd rather go fishing.

KIERSEN THE WEEK BEFORE . . . 

(Kiersen) - We need to start picking out my outfit for the first day of school

(Me) - Okay - do you want to pick it or should I?

(Kiersen) - I'm definitely picking it, because I want something to match my high heels.

(Me) - Okay, go look through your closet and pick out something special.

(Kiersen) - It's got to be a tutu skirt too mommy, because that will look good with my heels.

(Me) - Okay.

(Kiersen) - Here it is!  I found the perfect one! (After she pulled out about 10 outfits and laid them on the floor for me to refold/rehang)

KAIDEN THE DAY OF SCHOOL . . . 

(Me) - We have to leave for the bus a little early because I want to get some pictures.

(Kaiden) - Are you serious?  Do we really have to take pictures?  It's just school, not fishing.

(Me) - Absolutely!

We leave early but Kaiden is not too excited about pictures and only stands still for a few of them, giving more pouty lip photos than actual smiles

KIERSEN THE DAY OF SCHOOL . . . 

(Me) - We need to leave about 5 minutes early because I need to get some pictures.

(Kiersen) - Okay!  Can I get a few pictures with RJ this time?

(Me) - Sure.

We leave early and Kiersen poses like a model for the entire 5 minutes, flashing me smile after smile, and getting tons of photos with her pup.
