Friendship Classic 2019 . . .

 

On Saturday Kiersen competed in the Friendship Classic.  She won first on Vault, third on bars, fourth on floor, and was third All Around.  She didn't place on beam this time around because she forgot her routine!  This is the last competition for Level 2.

Halloween Reward Day at School . . .

Today the kids had a fall reward day at school.  They were so excited to dress up in their Halloween best!  If Kiersen's costume looks familiar, it's because Kaiden has worn in 2 or 3 times before too.  That bat costume has been a really favorite around our house.  Kaiden wanted it very badly and I bought it kicking and screaming because it was so expensive.  But....after 4 years of use, I really can't complain...it ended up being the cheapest Halloween costume I've purchase.  Ava also came dressed as a hunter, and Logan came dressed as a werewolf.

Today was dress up day at school for Kaiden, and he and Ava were so excited this morning at the bus stop.  This afternoon they have a parade around the stadium.  Kiersen can't wait to go!  Oh, and if you didn't notice it, Kaiden lost his front tooth this morning - he looks so mischievous now.  The second front tooth is also lose, so once he loses that we'll be singing 'All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth'.

Crazy Hair Day at School!

 

This week is Homecoming week for Pine Grove, so each day the kids have something special.  Today was crazy hair day.  It's a little hard to go too crazy when you have a boy with a short haircut, so we just decided to color his hair green and blue.  Kaiden's buddy, Ava, was adorable this morning, and I still laugh as I think about the way she had her hair fixed.  Ha ha...good times!

Second Grade...Here He Comes!

Today was Kaiden's first day of Second Grade (is he really going into Second Grade already?!!?!).  I wasn't quite sure how he'd do getting up and getting ready this morning, but he popped right out of bed and got dressed.  We were determined to get RJ in a nice, posed picture, but (as you can see), that didn't happen.  The only photo I got of him was while he was running around the yard looking for Kaiden after he left on the school bus.  All day it felt strange without him...wishing it was his last day of first grade all over again so we could get a redo on the summer.

Today Ava (Kaiden's buddy) spent the day with us.  The  kids had a blast and asked if Ava could spend the day with us on Monday too!  We painted bird houses, tie dyed some t-shirts, had a picnic lunch, went for a walk (and splashed a bit) at Sweet Arrow Lake.  Then we came back home and had ice cream sundaes using our new ice cream bowls/spoons (did I mention that I'm very excited about these adorable bowls...if not.....I AM??!!?), and finished the day off with a water balloon battle. These are the days I'm so glad I'm at home with the kids and working at HuckleBee Hollow instead of working at the office!
