Here is Kiersen's Floor Routine from the Hugs & Kisses Meeting on 02/14/21.  Only one person was able to attend because of Kiersen, so Kenny went because he didn't get to go to the first one.  

Kiersen's Handstand Back Handspring Series on Beam (Video) . . .

 Kiersen recently got her handstand back handspring series on the beam (this is a skill she will need for the next gymnastics level).

Kiersen's Back Tuck on High Beam (Video) . . .

 Kiersen recently got her back tuck on the high beam.  

Giants on the Strap Bar (Video). . . .

 Kiersen has been working on her giants (which is a skill she will need for the next gymnastics level).  It's fun to watch her learning new skills!

Sugar Cookies!

 Last night the kids and I made our first batch of sugar cookies for the holidays.  I'm not a fancy mom, and we always do premade cookie dough, but the kids sure do have fun decorating them.  

Handstand Back Handspring Connection (Video) . . .

Since Kiersen got her back handspring on the beam, she is now working on making connections (meaning two skills in a row).  Here she is trying her handstand into her back handspring.

Kiersen has started to work on Giants at the gym, and she is SO happy about it!

Human Pretzel . . .

 

Because why sit in the seat when you can bend like a pretzel in the seat . . . .

Little Hunter?

Kiersen decided one day (out of the blue) that she wanted to go hunting with Kaiden and Kenny this year.  Kenny told her if she would practice and get good at shooting the gun, he would get her a license.  She must get her shooting skills from Kenny, because she took two shots and they were pretty darn good (see picture above).  But....she doesn't know if she wants to go hunting now because she doesn't know if she really wants to kill a deer.  Guess we'll leave it to the boys to get our food this year!

Lil' Pancake Baker . . .

 

She LOVES making pancakes and talked about cooking them for everyone in New Hampshire for weeks, and that's just what she did on the last day at Uncle Steve & Aunt Banda's House.

Walking on Her Hands . . .

Kiersen has been practicing walking on her hands.  A few weeks ago (when this video was taken), she walked from one side of the garage to the other!

Midnight Tumbling . . .

This video was taken in May (I'm a little behind on posting things).  Kiersen always wants to tumble at night, and will often wake up out of bed and start tumbling (dressed in a leo and all).  On this particular night I believe it was almost midnight . . .

Posing While Brother's Fishing . . .

Sometimes she wants to fish with Kade, but other times she just wants to pose for my camera.  Last week we had one of those 'posing' days while brother was spearing fish.  

A Letter to the Easter Bunny . . .

Tomorrow is Easter, and Kiersen is SO excited.  She's already picked out her dress, picked out and dressed up all her babies, made two Easter headbands, colored her Easter Eggs and written a letter to the Easter Bunny.  Kaiden's Easter prep involves dyeing eggs and trout fishing (ha ha).

On Thursday Kiersen turned 9.  It wasn't at all the birthday she had imagined (thanks to the Corona Virus), but we made the most of it, and it turned out to be a good day.  She had cinnamon buns for breakfast (complete with a candle), her babies surprised her with balloons, she got an air track (which will only be arriving next week), and she made and decorated her own cake.  Now she said she wants to decorate her own cake next year too!  Maybe a new tradition will be born!  Happy Birthday, Kiersen Olivia!
