Trip to Lititz . . .

While Kade was on his fishing trip to Hatteras, Kiersen and I headed to Lititz to visit our favorite shops and playground.  We went to Wilbur Chocolate, fed the ducks in the stream, visited Candy-ology (her favorite candy shop), toured the caboose, played at the park and ate soft pretzels at the pretzel factory.  It never gets old visiting Lititz!

Kiersen Olivia Turns EIGHT!

Yesterday Kiersen turned 8!  How can that be?!!!?!?  Where has the time gone?  As typical, we decided to take a trip to celebrate.  I was a little surprised when she chose to go to Lititz to spend the day!  We had a great time visiting the little shops (mainly the candy shops) and playing at the park.  The thing she was most excited for was the fact that she can now travel in the truck without a car seat!  Happy Birthday, Kiersen Olivia!

Fun at Lititz . . .

I had to laugh at her 'model pose'

Yesterday the kids and I headed to Lititz for the day.  There's just something about that town that I love.  It's the only city I would ever dream of living, as I'm a true country girl at heart.  This city holds a lot of childhood memories for me too.  Every year in August my grandma used to set up her craft table at the Craft Show.  When I was younger, I would always tag along to 'help' her run her table.  I think of her every time I see the place she used to set up, and now I wish she were still here to do those craft shows.  There are so many things to do there, and the kids and I packed a lot into one day.  We visited the Wilbur Chocolates Candy Store and went into some fun boutique shops for the kids, we learned how to twist (or sort of twist) our own pretzels at the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Factory, we fed ducks, climbed in a train car, played at the park, and ate ice cream and pet the animals at the Pretzel Hut.  The kids kept saying 'this is the best day ever', and I agree.  I'm so glad that I'm able to spend my summers with them.

Day out in Lititz...

Kiersen spotted these pinwheels and immediately fell in love.  I could've put her here all day and she would've been happy.  She doesn't know it yet, but one of the crafts I have planned is making a pinwheel.  That should be fun!

At the Pretzel Factory!

Love this picture of them!

On Friday I took the kids and their cousin, Bryar, to Lititz.  I always love traveling there.  It's such a neat town with lots of great shops, neat places to visit and cool things to do.  We went to Julis Sturgis Pretzel Factory, Wilbur Chocolate Factory, we fed the ducks, played on the playground, toured a little caboose and got some ice cream at the Freez & Frizz.  Next time I'll see Lititz will hopefully be in August for their big craft show!
