My Outhouse!!!!

Funny how things happen sometimes...

All week I've been going past this one house that had this cutest little outhouse in their yard. I swore to myself that if I ever saw the lady outside I was going to stop and ask her where she got it. On Thursday I passed it again on my way home from work, and sure enough there was a for sale sign on it. I stopped to take a look at it and the lady told me she was having a yard sale the next morning, and that if I was interested I should get there early because about 6 other people had stopped to look at it. I went home and was making plans to get up at 5:30 the next morning to sit in her driveway because I really wanted that outhouse. When I told Kenny about it that night he told me I was silly and that I should've offered her the money to buy it right then and there. He said, 'let's go get it'. So off we went and I was SO excited. I was already envisioning where I would put it. We got there and there were crowds of people at the yard sale that wasn't even supposed to happen until the next morning. Guess what, the lady right in front of me bought my outhouse! I was so disappointed.

Well....yesterday my dad and brother had mentioned that they were going to an auction today. I have been interested in purchasing a wooden wheelbarrow for a long time and told them if they saw one to buy it. My brother told me there was a photo of it on auctionzip, so I went on last night to check it out. Seeing that I didn't want it after all, I scrolled through the other items and sure enough....there it was....another outhouse, and it was even cuter than the one I lost on Thursday. I quickly called up dad and told him I wanted it.

Coming home tonight we pulled in the driveway and I mentioned to Kenny 'oh, I guess dad didn't get the outhouse...darn it, I really wanted that one....I've made up my mind that I'm going on line this week because I just have to have one of my own'. As we turned the bend I looked to my right and there it was....I am SOOOO excited! I can't believe I even doubted for a minute that my dad didn't get it....he gets everything he bids on. He's the one that bid on our land when we bought it too! I love my outhouse, but I think I was even more excited the day we got our land!

Makes me want to call off work tomorrow so I can decorate.....but I won't!

Memorial Day 2010...

(Tractor rides with Uncle Brad)

(Look at that little belly!)
(Lolli-lolli)

(Where ever Bryar goes, Kaiden will follow)

Whew...today really started out hot! After a dip in Grandma Nan's pool, things seemed a whole lot cooler though. Kaiden was enjoying his time with his cousin, Bryar. They're like two peas in a pod that's for sure! Thank goodness for Uncle Brad too...TRACTOR RIDES!

Kaiden's FAVORITE Outfit...

Yesterday we got a huge bag of used little clothes for Kaiden from one of his grandpa's neighbors. I'm always a fan of free clothing, especially because this particular bag contained the cutest little outfits from Baby Gap and Old Navy (two of my favorite places to shop for little man). I felt like I hit the lottery! Anyway...there was this pair of camo overalls which were about three sizes too large that Kaiden fell in love with. As soon as I got them out of the wash today, he insisted on putting them on. I had to take the straps all the way up and roll them up three or four times, but he screamed when I took them off of him, telling me that he wanted to go turkey hunting with his daddy. He thought he just had to wear them to the picnics today because they were 'sooo cute'. He's going to want to wear these things all the time, isn't he???

Cookies!

This morning Kaiden helped me make cookies to take to the picnic we were going to this afternoon. Actually, he really didn't help me make them too much...mostly he just helped eat them!

Move Over...Kaiden's at the Wheel

Daddy let Kaiden drive his truck home last night from our picnic....okay, before you go and call Children and Youth....what I meant to say was last night Kaiden helped Kenny drive his truck up our driveway. Kaiden was in his glory, of course....smiles from ear to ear...he's such a boy!

(Here's the neat fire pit)

(A bubble which landed on the red maple...pretty neat)

On Sunday evening we had a Memorial Day picnic at my brother's house. They've been working really hard getting their front yard landscaped, and it looks absolutely beautiful. I realized when I got home that I didn't actually take a lot of pictures of the landscaping at all (too busy snapping shots of Kaiden again...), but I did get some of their great fire pit.

Wild Child Hair....

Check out Kaiden's new 'do'! I think it gives him a little devilish edge...what do you think? (not that he needed any help being devilish...ha ha) After I spiked it, he kept looking at himself in the mirror and saying 'Kaiden Tyler you are too cute'.....and his mommy has to agree!

Our Little Excavator...

We're working on a little project at the house right now, and Kaiden is loving all the mud, rocks and shovels! I don't think I've ever been able to occupy him with one specific thing for this long...last night he told me he's not going in to take his bath because 'he's got responsibilities and he's got work, work, work all night long'. What can I say....he's definitely a boy!

Time To Get Dressed, Kaiden!

What can I say...some days it hard to get him dressed, so I just let him dress himself. Who knew shorts could look so cute on your head?!?!?!

Dumping All His Savings....

Well....my little man is a saver, that's for sure (wonder where he got that from). He loves collecting change (and dollar bills) for his piggy bank. Some of his favorite 'collection spots' are in daddy's cash box, mommy's purse, or from his grandmas/grandpas. Once his piggy (or should I say bear) bank is full, he likes dumping it into his big dump truck to, as he calls it, 'haul money dirt'. When he's done hauling he always wants to dump it into his other piggy bank so that it can go to his 'sabings account'. Hey...whatever it takes to get him excited about saving, right?!?!?!

Pret-ty Guurls....

Well....as you already know, Kaiden loves looking at toy catalogs. But....lately he's found something that makes him almost as happy as John Deere Tractors being driven by little people ~ the 'pret-ty guurls' in the Victoria's Secret catalogs I get in the mail! He'll flip through the magazine and point to one of the girls and say 'I like this pret-ty guurl'. Mommy's not ready for all this stuff quite yet!!!

Business Update...

Well....the 'testing phase' is over and I'm officially 'in business' here at HuckleBee Hollow! I've got my bath and body products all developed (whipped sugar scrubs, body butters, lotions, splashes, and home fragrances too), and I've actually been filling orders! Next up...my country primitive items and a website! Hey...maybe this crazy idea I had may turn out to be a business after all! In a few more months, I should be able to make my first donation!

My Boys...

(Remmy...playing the horse....yet again!)

(Whatda ya think...do these blue blankets compliment my black fur or what?!!?!)

I always love a good photo of my two boys together....

Kaiden's Baby...

(Not sure why carrying around a baby seat requires a screw driver, but I guess in Kaiden's mind, everything requires a screwdriver!)

Kaiden's been on the baby kick lately (too bad his daddy isn't....). Today when I was hanging up the laundry, he found the baby carrier stashed away in the closet and decided he wanted to play big 'brouder'. He made me strap in his moose and then carried it around for about a half hour saying 'don't worry, your buckled in, you are safe'. Too cute!
