Yesterday after Kenny got home from work we took the kids fishing for Mentored Youth Day. Kaiden was so excited about going - it's all he could talk about for a week straight! They were allowed to catch 2 fish each, and that's what they both did. Kiersen wasn't too happy about keeping the fish and decided to let hers swim free (there's my girl), but she sobbed when Kaiden told her he was keeping his because she didn't want the fish to die. It was a cold evening because of the wind blowing across the lake, but we all had a nice time.

Kiersen Olivia Turns EIGHT!
Yesterday Kiersen turned 8! How can that be?!!!?!? Where has the time gone? As typical, we decided to take a trip to celebrate. I was a little surprised when she chose to go to Lititz to spend the day! We had a great time visiting the little shops (mainly the candy shops) and playing at the park. The thing she was most excited for was the fact that she can now travel in the truck without a car seat! Happy Birthday, Kiersen Olivia!

Friendship Classic 2019 . . .
On Saturday Kiersen competed in the Friendship Classic. She won first on Vault, third on bars, fourth on floor, and was third All Around. She didn't place on beam this time around because she forgot her routine! This is the last competition for Level 2.
Get Air!
On Friday the kids didn't have school, so we headed to Get Air for some jumping. As it turns out, there were lots of kids from Pine Grove there to bounce with! They had so much fun! Of course we had to complete our trip with a stop at Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream too!
Warm Evening at Sweet Arrow . . . .
Last Thursday the weather was beautiful...I think it was 76 degrees! So, we did what we love to do best and packed up the fishing rods and headed to our favorite spot - Sweet Arrow Lake. As I could've guessed, the fishing wasn't great and the kids ended up not catching anything. They were a little bummed out until they discovered that the actual lake was still frozen so we spent an hour or so throwing rocks, breaking off pieces of ice and watching the sun set. I really wish I had taken my real camera instead of my cell phone, because the sunset was simply amazing, but I'm glad I at least had something with me to (sort of) capture it. Hoping for a lot more days like this soon!
