Princess Kiersen . . .

Yesterday I was on a mission - Kiersen and I were going to clean the house.  Everything started well, but then I lost my little helper because she wanted to put on her 'pretty princess gown'.  Of course I had to put down the duster and pick up my camera!  We got the house cleaned AND played pretty princess!

Turkeys Fly, Why Can't I?

Tonight the kids were confused why the turkey Kaiden shot this morning could fly but they couldn't, even though they were using his same feathers!  They tried it over and over and over again, but still no luck. Oh well....it was fun trying!

The Kids...

My kids....sometimes they play together so well, and sometimes they fight together so well too!  Oh yeah, and Remmy....well, he's not much of a fighter...a true lover all the way!

The many faces of Kiersen...

Here I think she looks like me

Here I think she has 'daddy eyes'

Here I think she looks like my mom when she was a little girl

Although she's 3 years old, I still can't figure out who she looks like...guess she's a good mix of everyone!

Kaiden's First Turkey!

Kaiden woke up Friday morning and all he wanted to do was talk about turkey hunting.  He told me how excited he was to go out on Saturday, and assured me that even though we haven't been seeing turkey this year, that his daddy would be able to call one in for him.  I asked him if he knew where he needed to shoot the turkey, and he confidently answered.  Last night he must've told me about 17 times to make sure daddy woke him up.  This morning when the alarm clock went off at 4:30 he jumped right out of bed and was ready to go.  By 7:00, he was already standing by my bedside excitedly announcing that he shot his first turkey.  He was so excited, and seeing the look on his face this morning was priceless.  He's hooked now - a full blooded hunter this boy will be for sure!  We ate his turkey tonight for dinner and he was beaming from ear to ear.
