Easter at Grandma Nan & Paw Paw's . . . .

The twins - going on an adventure!

Bryar, Noah, Kaiden

We had Easter dinner and our annual egg hunt at Grandma Nan & Paw Paw's house on Sunday.  I brought my big zoom lens and took a ton of photos.  Unfortunately the power lines running through the back yard messed with my camera and most of the photos I got were blurry.  I was able to get a few good ones, but I didn't really get any of my kiddos that were worth sharing other than the last photo with Kaiden.

Kaiden on the Tire Swing . . .

Poor Kaiden - over the past few weeks he's been watching Kiersen play on the tire swing every day after school.  The ropes had stretched out and it was too low for him to play on.  Daddy had off last weekend though, so he fixed them up and now Kaiden can swing again, and he's SO happy!  The simple joys of childhood!

Easter Morning Egg Hunt . . .

So this year we did something a little different with our Easter morning egg hunt - Kenny hid the eggs in the woods instead of the yard.  He did such an awesome job!  He even outlined the egg hunt boundaries with orange rope!  The kids had fun finding them, and RJ enjoyed playing with his new bone.

Saying Goodbye . . . .

This week we said goodbye to Blanche.  She lived to be 95 years old, so she had a long life, but it somehow still seems like it wasn't long enough.  I have many wonderful memories of her growing up.  I used to love to go to her house as a little girl and swing from her wash poles (which always turned my hands silver), make lemonade, and mow her grass with her old fashion push mower.  I'm thankful that my kids got to make memories with her along the way too.  Gone but never forgotten.  Rest in peace, Blanche.

Kaiden's 2019 Gobbler . . .

He did it again!  Another gobbler!  He's all smiles!

Trout Fishing at Indiantown Run . . .

I took Kaiden trout fishing at Indiantown Run this week.  He got a fish with his very first cast!  Kiersen wasn't so excited to go, even though I told her it would be so pretty there.  It took her about 15 minutes to get over not wanting to be there until she started to have fun.  Kaiden's always happy when he's fishing.  On our way home he told me 'I caught him, I'm going to clean him, and I'm going to eat him'.  And that's just what he did!

Picnic Time!

The kiddos had a half day of school on Thursday and it was 73 degrees, so we headed outside for a picnic lunch on the deck.  RJ even had a special picnic bone!

Tooth Fairy Time!

Last week Kiersen had a (sort of) wiggly front tooth.  When I say 'sort of wiggly', that's exactly what I mean - it moved some, but I was sure it would take a month or more until it was actually going to be time to pull it.  Well - she informed me last weekend that she was going to pull it.  I told her it wouldn't be anytime soon, and that she'd just have to keep working at it.  She quickly replied 'nope, it's coming out tonight'.  Imagine my surprise when three hours later she ripped it from her mouth!  The poor tooth wasn't near ready, but when she sets her mind to something, she doesn't stop until her 'mission' is accomplished!

Easter Egg Hunt . . .

Last weekend the boys went fishing and Kiersen and I went to an egg hunt at the school.  All the kids were so excited that Kiersen got knocked over and trampled on!  She was happy anyway and got lots of candy!

RJ Chillin' with Kaiden . . .

Kaiden sat down to take a break after riding his bike, and someone came to join in.  I think what he really wanted was some of Kaiden's Kool Aid!
