Kiersen's Birthday Part 2 . . .
Tonight we had Kiersen's Birthday dinner at my parent's house. She was excited about it all day and couldn't wait to get there. She got a Peppa Pig cake and some great gifts! A few things more about the day....
(1) When she woke up this morning she was so excited and told me that she grew 6" since yesterday and proceeded to touch the ceiling (okay - in fairness....she WAS standing on my bed, and we DO have a very slopped ceiling because our bedroom is a loft bedroom), but even so, she was convinced that she had grown since the night before.
(2) She called my mom today and told her that she noticed that her PJ's were 'snug' because she grew now that she's six.
(3) Today she got her back handspring all by herself in our living room! And...on the trampoline she was working on her back flips (the ones with no hands!)
(4) She wanted everyone to yell 'surprise' when she arrived at my mom and dad's house today, because 'after all', it was her birthday.
(5) She wanted to eat birthday cupcakes and lemonade for breakfast because it was her birthday (hum....maybe that's why her PJ's were feeling kinda 'snug' today....ha ha).
(6) She announced that because she's six she can now be a cheerleader (and she's right...when you're six you can sign up for cheerleading!)
I always laugh at the things she comes out with. Happy Birthday Kiersen Olivia!
Kiersen Turns Six!
Blizzard 2017 . . .
On Tuesday we got over 2' of snow! I was so busy shoveling off our decks, that I didn't really get many photos! The kids enjoyed it, but until it was all plowed, Kiersen had a hard time walking in it. I love snow, but I think I've had my share now and I'm ready for spring!
Sailboats!
The kids had off four days this week because of the blizzard. On the first morning as it was snowing buckets and buckets and I was trying to get a little HuckleBee done, the kids disappeared downstairs. I thought they were playing with RJ, but I was wrong. They used a big Easter egg to make boats for boat racing in the bathtub. I thought it was really clever. They even made paper people for inside of them. Now Kiersen is insisting that her Paw Paw would like the boat she made and has it all prepared to take to my parent's house this afternoon.
Warm Day - Pond Play!

| Bad photo, but it gives you a pretty good idea what Kaiden was up to! |
February was a warm month and we had one particular day that was really warm so we headed up to the pond. RJ jumped right in (of course), but Kaiden ended up jumping in too. The water was so cold, but neither of them seemed to mind. Kiersen wasn't interested in the water...she just wanted to play with salamanders and use every downed tree as a balance beam (everything can be used for gymnastics these days). We're hoping some warmer days are on their way again soon!
I Spy With My Little Eye....A Monkey in a Tree!
I am really behind on not only taking pictures, but posting pictures! These photos were taken in February. Kaiden is such a mountain boy - he loves climbing trees, tromping through the woods and splashing in the pond. Such a monkey!
