The Butterfly House at Hershey Gardens...

On Friday my mom and I took the kids to the new Butterfly House at the Hershey Gardens.  The butterflies were beautiful and the kids loved spotting them.  There was a brilliant blue one that I was trying to capture with my camera, but I just couldn't get a nice picture.  When it landed, it's wings were always together and all I could see was brown, and when it fluttered, it held it's wings up high and I couldn't see the blue either.  Just as I was about to give up, one landed on Kaiden's shirt and (as if it was showing off for me), spread it's wings for a perfect picture.  We had a great day!

The Butterfly House...

Here she is talking to the butterflies

Kaiden enjoyed identifying the butterflies

This one thought Kiersen's hair flower was real

Kaiden loved picking up butterfly wings.  I think he could've spent all day doing that!

Kiersen was asking the lady if she could splish splash in the waterfall.

Kaiden - Trying to break the rules here.  He wanted to touch one in the worst way!

Porkchop!

Today I took the kids to Metamorphosis, a butterfly house.  The butterflies were so pretty.  I had hoped we'd have more interaction with them, but we were told not to touch them.  The closest interaction we had was when one of the butterflies landed on Kiersen's flower she had in her hair.  After our tour they had a neat little playground area set up for the kids and a cute pig named porkchop.  I think the kids really had a nice time.
