Fashion Designer . . .

 

One night last week Kiersen asked me if she could cut her nylons she wore with her Christmas dress.  At first I was hesitant, but I let her, and this is what she made - a little white shirt.  Sometimes I cannot believe how creative she is!  

Nurse or Fashion Designer?

I always like to think about what my kids will be when they grow up.  Kaiden is a hard one for me.  The one thing I do know is I don't see him sitting in an office.  I picture him doing outdoor work of some kind.  We talk about it often and the few things we've come up with is a Game Warden or an owner of a Logging Company, but he's not set on any one thing yet.  When he was in preschool her gave a speech and said he wants to be a plumber like his daddy.  Fast forward a few years when his daddy is now working lots and lots of overtime, now he's not so sure that's the job for him.  Kiersen, on the other hand, has always been one I could see being a nurse.  From a young age, she's always loved watching Doc McStuffins, she loves giving her babies check ups, and one of her favorite things to do is watch You Tube videos of babies getting shots.  I see her being a pediatric or labor and delivery nurse.  BUT - she has this love of creating things.  She can take old socks and turn them into doll clothing, old baby blankets and turn them in to purses, and old anything and turn them into hair accessories.  I honestly don't know where she comes up with all the ideas, but they always turn out nice.  She also enjoys using my clothing to make clothing for herself.  Last night she was doing just that!  Here in these photos she used one of my long sleeved shirts and created this cute, flowy top, that she accessorized perfectly with a pair of black leggings and sandals.  So, will she be a nurse or a fashion designer  and what will Kaiden choose - stayed tuned, they have a couple more years until they'll need to decide!
