Christmas Eve 2019 . . .

I had some problems with my camera on Christmas Eve, so there are lots of people I wasn't able to capture, but here are a few that turned out okay.  The highlight of our night was that Kevin and Andrea got engaged the night before, and we were able to check out her new ring.  Best wishes Kevin and Andrea!

Tonight we had Christmas Eve at Gary & Mardelle's house.  This year we were missing Gram, but tonight I'm hoping she knows how much she's loved even though she's not here with us.  Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Beach Trip & Kaiden's 9th Birthday!

Of course she was doing cartwheels on the beach!  Where doesn't she do cartwheels?!!?!

Trying to hide from my camera, but I got him anyway!

Daddy's Girl!

It was hard to get Kaiden out of the water - he's like a fish!

Kaiden - not really exhausted, just acting silly for my picture.

Kaiden caught some crabs!

Overboard!

Can hardly believe he's 9!

We spent Kaiden's Birthday and the first half of the week at my grandpa's beach house in Delaware. Although we were only there a short time, we did a bunch of really fun things.  On Sunday we went to Lewes Beach (which is my favorite because the parking is easy and the seas are calm).  On Monday we headed to Rehoboth Beach (Kaiden's favorite because of the waves), went to dinner to celebrate Kaiden's Birthday at JD Shuckers, and then we headed to the boardwalk.  We got a big storm while we were there, so I decided to leave my camera behind, but the pictures I could've taken were beautiful (blue and pink skies, rainbows and horizontal lighting bolts). The kids enjoyed some rides and shopping (and eating Kevvers' french fries) and then we headed home to prep for our final day in Delaware which consisted of a boat ride and crabbing.  Kaiden caught a lot of crabs, but only a few were big enough to eat.  We ended the trip with a cake for Kaiden's birthday, and left excited to be reunited with our buddy RJ the next day.  I love taking trips, but there's nothing like home sweet home!
