Raccoon . . . .

In January Kaiden trapped his first raccoon!  He was pretty happy.  Because it's winter, his coat was nice and thick.  I am certain Kenny will be tanning it for his bedroom.

Rocky Raccoon

Kaiden and Kenny decided they wanted to become trappers.  I'm not a huge fan and personally think it's kind of cruel, but Kaiden is so excited about it.  They took their first raccoon and Kenny has been working on tanning it for the kids.  Because Kaiden was the one who shot it, he decided that he would give it to Kiersen since he already had a fox.  I, of course, didn't think Kiersen would be too excited, but boy was I wrong.  When they gave it to her last night all she wanted to do was carry it around like a baby doll - hugging it and loving on it.  She even wanted to sleep with it!  Anyway, I hope the boys got their fix and will not want to trap again.  Although the fur is nice, I'd rather see 'Rocky Raccoon' out in the wilderness.
