Kaiden's Team Won First at Envirothon!

On Wednesday Kaiden's Envirothon Team (the 'Biting Bobcats') had a competition at the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds.  They got first place!  The other Pine Grove Team took second place, so I would say Pine Grove did pretty good this year!  

First Day of School 2018 . . .

Every year on this day I typically reflect on how quickly time goes by.  This year is no different.  Each summer seems to go faster than the last.  Kaiden is starting a new adventure in middle school this year.  He tried to downplay how he was feeling, but he was pretty nervous.  He must've said a hundred times, 'I just hope I can find my classes'.  I tried to tell him that he will be fine and that every 5th grader would be feeling nervous on their first day, but I know that did little to calm him down.  Kiersen was just as nervous today because it's the first time she'd be riding the bus without her brother.  Thankfully she has Logan (our neighbor) which helped a bit.  She said 'my heart is beating so fast, I've never been this nervous'.  Here's to hoping the kids have a fabulous school year!
