Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)Tuesday, March 31, 2009

I can't believe it's Sunday evening already....wasn't it just Thursday? For some strange reason, this weekend went faster than any weekend ever has (....wait, I guess I do say that every Sunday evening, don't I???)
Friday was the busiest day of the weekend.....in the morning, Kaiden and I went with my sister-in-law, Jess, to check out the day care I will be using for Kaiden when Jess is on vacation. It's owned by a girl who graduated with Kenny and cheered with me throughout high school. She's getting her final inspection next month, and then the center will open. Day care's can be scary for a mom, but because I know her, it makes a huge difference to me! In the evening, my parents agreed to watch Kaiden while Kenny and I went to test drive vehicles. I've only spent about a week and a half looking, but I'm fried! Wheeling and dealing is no fun! Now it's Sunday, and I have one dealership (whom I've spoken to every day since last Wednesday) ready to send their drivers out to get 'my' vehicle in the color I wanted, and another dealership that has a sold sign on 'my' vehicle. (Oh boy!)
Today and Saturday were pretty much a blur, but I did take time to snap a few photos this afternoon (see above).
Well.....tomorrow's Monday....back to work and all the rushing around that goes with it!

Goin' for a Sleigh Ride (Huh?)
If you're reading the title of this post, and looking at the pictures, you're probably confused, and I can see why - after all, there's no sleigh and there's certainly no snow! But for me, this post title is perfect. (More on that later)
Kaiden wasn't 'feelin' the typical bedtime routine tonight - he was much too energetic to snuggle with me and watch Tigger & Pooh. Instead, he made the decision that he should probably get out his vacuum, as the house was not tidy enough for him. He promptly pointed me to the closet where the 'real' vacuum is kept and wouldn't stop chattering and pointing at it until I got it out to 'help' him.
Okay....so ya ready to find out why I'm tying cleaning to a sleigh ride???
Well....I was vacuuming away and all of the sudden he picks up his vacuum and goes out into the Kitchen. When I was done with the chores Kaiden 'assigned' me, I heard his little feet scuffling across the Kitchen floor. As I turned the corner to see what was going on, I saw him running around and around the table as fast as his little feet could carry him, with his vacuum trailing behind. It took me back to the days when I was growing up with my brothers. There was this one Christmas Song.....I'm not even sure who sang it, but it was about a sleigh ride, and every time we heard this song, we would stop what we were doing to get up and run around the Living Room like crazy, wild kids. Oh the good days......
I'm hoping that Kaiden will have a little brother and/or sister to run around with him and his vacuum one day......here's to wishful thinking!!!

Hide & Seek (In the Curtains)
There's no better place in the world to play hide and seek then in the curtains in mommy and daddy's bedroom! At least that's what Kaiden was thinking tonight!
Makes me think back to about 5 years ago when those curtains had to be 'just so', and if Kenny went out on the deck and messed them up even a little bit, I would get angry because he was making my house 'look dirty'. Oh how things change after a little one comes along!
....ahhh, finally, I can relax and enjoy LIFE a little......

White Rock
This afternoon when Kenny got home from work he suggested that we take Kaiden and Remmy to 'White Rock'. White Rock is just a minutes drive from our home, and is located along the Appalachian Trail. I did take some photos, but the camera doesn't quite capture it like seeing it in person does. The view is breathtaking - you can see so far! Kaiden (being the little mountain man he is) really enjoyed it. At first, he didn't want either of us to hold his hand because 'he could do it all on his own'. Even when we got to the clearing where it dropped straight down, he was trying to get free from our grasp. Remmy of course ran and ran (as always). It was nice to get out a little....that really makes it feel like spring is just around the corner.....
