A Must See Movie ~ Fireproof

Kenny and I saw the movie 'Fireproof' over the weekend. Anyone who is married should definitely take the time to sit down together and watch this movie. If you do, I'm sure you'll be glad you did. For those of you who haven't watched it yet, or have never heard of this movie, you can watch the preview on the following link:

T - I - DOUBLE G - ER!

(You can almost see him saying "Mom....don't make me do it....don't make me drop Tiggy on his head....")

(This is what we do every night now.....Kaiden loves coming out to the sofa after his bath so that he can see what I do to his Tigger....sometimes he'll find his pacifier on his tail which really makes him laugh....)

For the last month, I've been eyeing up this Tigger for Kaiden at Walmart when I go grocery shopping. This past weekend, I decided to make the purchase, and boy am I glad I did. He's been carrying it around the house non-stop. Tonight, I caught him trying to feed Tigger his cheese. Guess I can be glad Tigger is washable.

A (Big) Bowl of Cereal

Tonight after work, I was changing out my wash, and left Kaiden to play in the Kitchen in his favorite cabinet. All of the sudden I heard this really strange noise....kinda like when you pour your cereal into your bowl in the morning. Well, that's kinda what happened, but Kaiden's bowl was a little larger, and instead of him having his cereal at the table, he decided to use the floor....and I mean litter-ly (pun intended), he decided to USE THE FLOOR! Kenny thought I was half crazy when I ran for the camera instead of the vacuum, but hey, gotta remember all those messy times too, right? Anyway, who needs a vacuum when Remmy's around?!!??

Guess you know what mommy's not having for breakfast tomorrow!

What Can I Say....He Loves the Strainer!

Last night I was getting Kaiden's bath ready and all of the sudden he 'takes off' like he's on some kind of mission (all the while I'm thinking "oh no ~ what's he doing now"). Soon he comes back with the strainer (which he loves wearing as a hat) and some other miscellanous items from the Kitchen. (Guess his bath toys are getting old.) I must admit, it made for some cute pictures, even though is face is all red again.....

Daddy....I'm Watching You

This weekend wasn't exactly the best weekend we've had. Kaiden's sick again, and has been EXTREMELY cranky. With that being said, it's been hard to get the cleaning done this weekend, because if I'm doing something, he wants to be held, but then as soon as I hold him, he fights me to get back down so he can throw himself on the floor in tantrum mode.

Last night while I was trying to get the Kitchen cleaned, I decided to clear off the sink/window sill, put his blanket down in the sink and let him look out the window at daddy, who was on the skidloader. He was pretty content with that, especially when he got ahold of the sprayer....

My Valentine (Well, One of Them)

Seldom do I let Kenny get his hands on my camera long enough to take any photos of me, but tonight, Kaiden was SO lovey I just had to capture it forever. I figure for now I should just cherish these 'small' moments with him, because I'm sure in a few short years he'll be wiping off the kisses I give him. My little valentine even shared his ice cream with me.....ahhh....nothing says true love more than someone who is willing to share their ice cream with me!

Kaiden Tyler ~ What ARE You Doing???

(Mommy getting Kaiden back)

Just when you think you've seen everything, the little person in your life surprises you with yet another unexpected 'thing'.....

Last night after I gave Kaiden his bath, I was putting on his lotion and PJ's. All of the sudden he grabbed my leg and started licking it and laughing like crazy. (Okay, this was a 'new' one....where on earth did he learn this?) As I continued to get him ready, I did what I always do when I'm dressing him ~ I say "I'm gonna get your ham-mies (aka legs) or I'm gonna get your toes" and I act as if I'm biting his leg/foot. (Okay, okay, call me strange, but it makes him giggle like crazy.....I can't be the only parent who would do whatever it takes to make their kids laugh.....right???)

It didn't 'dawn' on me right away, until tonight when, after I did it again, he immediately came over and started licking my feet and laughing! Guess I know where he learned this now.....

So here's your fair warning - if you stop by our house, be sure you're wearing socks....at least until I teach him that you don't actually lick (or bite....yikes....hope he doesn't do that next) when you play that 'game'.

My 'Dirty Laundry'

So today is Saturday, which means Kaiden and I spent most of the day cleaning and washing. I say most of the day, not because my house is that dirty, but mostly because as I'm cleaning, Kaiden's following right behind me tearing everything apart again! (Don't worry....it's all good!)

I was finishing up the last load of laundry right before dinner this evening, when Kaiden decided to double check the hamper in the bathroom just to make sure I got everything. Next thing I knew, he had it pulled out and was dumping it over and crawling inside. I kept telling him he better put it back or I would put him in it....I thought that was a threat, but he thought it'd be fun. Let's just say I had a hard time getting him out of that thing!
