As you can tell, we spend a lot of time at the fishing hole this time of year. On Sunday we woke up bright and early so he could break out his fly rod for the first time this season. We spent two hours there and then he headed back again in the afternoon before we had to pick up Kiersen from Hershey Park. He never gets enough. There's always fish to be caught and lots of smiles along the way. And - it's also a great time for me to practice my photography, because it's one of the rare times he will stop for a second and pose for me!

Fishing & Bribery . . .
On Friday after Kiersen was done with gymnastics practice, Kaiden asked her if she wanted to go fishing. It was an immediate 'no' until Kaiden sweetened the deal telling her if she went he would give her all of his remaining Easter Candy. (Funny side note - Kiersen's Easter candy has been gone since the day after Easter). She quickly changed her mind and went fishing with him. He was happy and so was she. I'd say that's a win-win! Another funny side note - she really didn't do too much fishing, but prefered to pose showing her 'guns' for the camera! Ha ha!
Level 6 State Meet 2021 . . .
![]() |
| Kiersen was so happy when Charlotte, her teammate, arrived and ran over for a big hug. Love their friendship! |
Last weekend Kiersen had her Level 6 State Meet in Easton, PA. She started out with a rough start on bars with a near fall and only receiving a score of 7.750, but regained her confidence and went on to do very well on the beam, floor (9.475) and vault. She scored a season high (9.500) on the beam and won 4th place, and also scored a season high (9.150) on vault. Although she walked away with only one medal, we could not be more proud of her. She has worked so hard this season to go from a Level 3 to test out of Levels 4 and 5 and move on to Optional Gymnastics - Level 6. (I will post videos once I download them from my phone)
New Additions at the Lake!
This is the best time of the year to get out and see baby geese, ducks and other sweet animals. It's honestly crazy how fast they grow. These were taken just two weeks ago and when I went to the lake with Kaiden this weekend, they have already more than doubled their size!
The Kids and a Tank . . .
We have lived in Pine Grove for over 20 years now and we've never looked closely at, taken a photo of, or let the kids play on the tank in town. On this trip, that all changed. The kids had a lot of fun checking it out. You can't really get a good feel for how large these tanks really are until you get up close to one.
Fishing (05/02/21) . . .
As always, I've fallen a little behind on posting pictures. These pictures were taken in the beginning of May. On this day, Kaiden somehow talked Kiersen into going fishing with him. She acts like she doesn't enjoy fishing and that's it's 'boring', but you can really see her face light up when she catches fish. I love how patient Kaiden is with her and will often hook one and hand the rod over to her because he says it's 'more fun to watch her get them'. Today she caught her first bass all by herself. She was over the moon (and so was Kaiden).
