Sleep-overs, Sleep-overs...

Hey look...it's ANOTHER sleep-over!  I always laugh when I see her meticulously set up their 'sleeping stations'....each baby has his/her own area.  Reminds me of the 'sleep'over I had with the kids on Thursday night.  Kenny was out of town and Kaiden was so upset.  I decided to tell them they could 'sleep over' in my bed.  Turns out the only two people sleeping that night was them!  You know....a kick in the head here, a jab in the rib there....hey let's take all the covers from momma kinda night!  Next time I'll just camp out with them in their rooms - you know, on the top bunk where I can have all the covers I want and where no one will be to kick me in the head (hee hee)!!!

Kissy Lips...

Brother and sister-ly love, I guess!!!  These lips were actually lollipops, which the kids adored!  Too cute I say!

Snow Day Fun

Kaiden was so excited to teach Kiersen all about how balloons could stick to everything....imagine trying to cook breakfast when you can't open a single cabinet!!!

We had a picnic breakfast....complete with a monkey blanket for my little monkeys!

Yes, we're going to get her into gymnastics as soon as she turns three...she's been swinging and rolling on everything lately.  You know I'm counting the days!

Kiersen's been showing some independence lately.  Most mornings she insists on picking out her own outfits (can you tell?!!?!?).  Must be a 'girl thing'....Kaiden never cared what I picked out for him to wear!

Snow days....filled with fun and crazy times!

Sensory Bucket Conundrum!

Sensory buckets are 'all the rage' at daycare centers these days.  They are touted as being great for fine motor skills.  Kaiden always enjoyed them and I've noticed that Kiersen also does, so I decided to make one for them.  Little treasures like plastic fish, seashells, small trinkets, coins and beads fill up their little sensory bucket.  Well....I should say DID fill up their sensory bucket.  On this particular day, Kiersen wasn't happy merely picking through that bucket the way she did the first time she did it with her brother...nope, instead she thought it would be fun to dump and scatter the bucket.  She then proceeded to make snow angels in her 'treasures'.  Now when she asks me to play with her 'treasure bucket', mommy simply responds 'Treasure bucket?  What treasure bucket?  I don't know anything about a treasure bucket'!

Sending Her Love Letter for Grandma & Paw Paw...

Kiersen was so excited to mail off her 'love letter' to Grandma & Paw Paw...she giggled the whole way down the drive way and out to the mailbox.  Good thing she did this before we got all the snow too.  With all the snow out there now, she cannot walk in the unplowed parts because she sinks in to her belly!

V-Day Treats...

Kenny will never understand why I stay up half the night to make yummy treats for the kids to take to their friends for Valentine's.  (well...okay, this year it's only for Kiersen, since Kaiden's school does not allow special treats...bah!) I'm not sure either - it's just so much fun to do and I love seeing the kids' faces light up when they see Kiersen walk through the doors with their surprises.  Kids are magical, and I love being a part of that magic.

Kaiden's Valentine's!

Kaiden worked really hard to get his Valentine's cards done, but they ended up not having school because of all the snow, so they're still sitting her waiting to be delivered.  I think he only wanted these cards so he could decorate the monster trucks for himself, since he had such a blast customizing them!  Lucky we had a few left over.

Valentine's with Kiersen!

Unfortunately, because Kiersen is only attending daycare part-time, she missed out on the Valentine's party at her school this year.  (Well....I guess not exactly, as I'm sure not many kids actually made it to the center on Friday because of all the snow)  We decided to take her Valentine's cards in early.  She did really well and had a pretty good attention span.  She was super excited about giving Kaiden his special card.

Kaiden - My Ham...

My little ham!

Winter Wonderland!

Our 'Snow Cottage'

Yesterday I felt like I was living in the middle of WINTER WONDERLAND!  The snow clung to every branch of every tree and it look so powdery and beautiful.  Lucky for me I got a new camera and had some time to play with it!
