Fly Fishing Fishing at the Canal . . .

Most Saturday and/or Sunday mornings this summer Kaiden and I would head to the fishing hole bright and early to go fishing.  On this trip he was using his fly rod, which I really enjoy.  It's a little harder to get anything big, but it's such an 'art', that it's fun to watch.

Early Morning Fly Fishing . . .

As you can tell, we spend a lot of time at the fishing hole this time of year.  On Sunday we woke up bright and early so he could break out his fly rod for the first time this season.  We spent two hours there and then he headed back again in the afternoon before we had to pick up Kiersen from Hershey Park.  He never gets enough.  There's always fish to be caught and lots of smiles along the way.  And - it's also a great time for me to practice my photography, because it's one of the rare times he will stop for a second and pose for me!

First Bass on a Fly Rod!

In August Kaiden got a fly rod, so we headed to the fishing hole to see how he would do with it.  I thought I was taking a lot of photos, but I actually was recording video, so that's why this video cuts off so quickly.  Here he is after catching his first bass on his fly rod.  I think his face says it all.  Anytime this kid is fishing, he is so happy!
