I always have the best of intentions to take lots and lots of pictures when we do our Christmas at Grandma Nan & Paw Paw's House, but sadly, by the time Christmas night rolls around, I always come home and realize I didn't take as many as I would've liked.  I guess I'm just all 'pictured out'.  I captured a few photos of the evening though.  Merry Christmas everyone!

On Christmas morning we went to my parent's house for Christmas breakfast and gift opening.  The kiddos got lots of new fun things they're excited about.  My favorite gift was the gift we gave my mom - a pendant necklace made from my grandma's wedding rings.

Santa Arrives!

Christmas morning wasn't your typical morning at the Echternach House.  Typically we have all of the gifts around the tree for the kiddos to open, but this year, Kiersen only wanted two things - a kip bar from Kenny & I and a balance beam from Santa (yes, she loves gymnastics).  Because of how big everything was, we asked Santa to leave his gift out in the garage, so Kiersen patiently waited while Kaiden opened all of his gifts and then ran outside to the garage to get her gifts.  Now every day we're in the garage (which we have named Gym 362) flipping on the bar set and cartwheeling on the beam.  Kaiden has even taken a liking to Gym 362, and has gotten pretty good at the balance beam (another potential gymnast???  nah...he'd rather be 'blow-gunning').

On Christmas Eve we went to Gary & Mardelle's House to celebrate.  As we were finishing up it started to snow (which initially sent me into a panic, because I was the one who had to drive home), but I have to admit that it was pretty (once I pulled safely into my driveway).  This year we got our White Christmas!

Christmas Eve - Part One . . .

A few years ago we started a new tradition of letting the kids open their Christmas gifts from each other on Christmas Eve morning.  This year Kiersen got Kaiden a Hess Truck, and Kaiden got Kiersen a pink race car and some Hatchimals.  They always look forward to this, and it spreads out Christmas and gives them something new to play with to 'pass the time' until Santa comes.

'Snow-Boarding' . . .

The kids were up early today (about 6:00 a.m.) and couldn't wait to get outside.  They got a little daring and decided that snowboarding would be more fun than just regular sledding.  As I watched them all that I could think about was a trip to the ER for stitches, but they were actually pretty good at it.  They probably would've been even better at it if RJ didn't think he had to hop on their sleds every time they went down the hill!
