Kiersen's Fort . . .

Last night Kiersen built a huge fort in the living room.  She was so excited about it, and ended up sleeping there last night.  Now it's time for cleanup because momma doesn't like having to crawl through it every time she needs to go upstairs!

Fun Fort!

At a baseball game last week, a dad approached me and told me he had a cardboard fort he intended on giving as a gift and then decided on something else.  He asked if Kiersen would want it.  Oh boy am I glad I said yes.  The kids are having a blast playing in this thing.  When we set it up they played in it for over two hours!  They even put Minnie Mouse in the chimney.  She doesn't fit the part of Santa, but they thought it was fun to pretend she was bringing them presents!  Only problem is we set it up in the Living Room, and I taped it together to make sure it would hold up, and now we can't get it through the hallway to the back room!  Oh well....the fun is worth the space it takes up!

Kaiden's Fort...

Over the weekend Kenny and Kaiden cut up a tree that had fallen during the hurricane.  This tree somehow became Kaiden's fort, which he is extremely proud off.  He had Kenny put two logs inside of it for sitting on - one for him and one for Kiersen.  Before Kiersen could enter the fort, he had to tell her the 'rules' (see last picture).  She was so excited to be out there with him - no matter how many rules he had for her.

Let's Make a Fort!

When things get kinda quiet in the house, it usually means the kids are up to 'no good'.  Not this time!  This time Kaiden decided that he wanted to build a 'fort for sissy' under my computer desk.  I tried to make it special by helping them keep the blankets up, but honestly, it's nothing like the forts my brothers used to build growing up!  Maybe next time we'll have to call up Uncle Rick, Uncle Gary & Uncle Steve for assistance!
