Leaf Pile!

Yesterday we decided to rake up some leaves and let the kids and the dog jump in them.  At first RJ didn't want anything to do with the 'fun', but once they got him in there they couldn't get him out!  He even got Kenny in the leaf pile for some wrestling!

Autumn Scavenger Hunt & Leaf Catching...

Today we decided to do an Autumn scavenger hunt.  When the hunt was over, the kids didn't want to stop playing and neither did I.  They found twigs, pinecones, acorns, small leaves, big leaves, colorful leaves and tree bark over and over and over.  We also tried catching leaves, which turned out to be trickier than we thought!  I think each of them caught only two and there were tons falling down!  RJ had a nice time too - he loves being outside with us just galavanting around.  I wish the fall season would last just a little longer...

Leaf Jumpin'

I know there are still a lot of leaves left to fall, but it was such a nice evening I couldn't resist taking the kids out to jump in the leaves!

Leaves, Leaves & More Leaves . . .

Oh dear - here we go again.....

Eat your heart out Mossy Oak!

Daddy will protect me from all those bad leaves!

After the storm we had this week, we certainly had our share of leaves in the yard!  We decided to rake a small pile for the kids to jump in.  Kaiden loved the idea, of course, and we couldn't get him to stop jumping, throwing the leaves and burying himself and anyone around him in them.  Kiersen on the other hand wasn't quite as impressed - don't get me wrong, she had fun, but she didn't like the idea of her brother raining leaves down on her.  For Remmy this was old news, and he knew what it would mean for him - he was buried in them and trampled on...but still, he didn't budge.  It's hard to believe that all the fall color is nearly gone now.  For some reason, the fall season always seems to go by so quickly.
