Celebrating a New Start . . .

Last Monday was Kiersen's first day of training with the Hershey Aerials.  It's a lot different than her old gym, and she left feeling a little discouraged, so I decided to cheer her up with a little trip to Red Robin (one of her favorite places to eat).  It wasn't too long until she was giggling and back to her normal self.  And the good news is we're two weeks in at her new gym and now she loves it!

Second Grade...Here He Comes!

Today was Kaiden's first day of Second Grade (is he really going into Second Grade already?!!?!).  I wasn't quite sure how he'd do getting up and getting ready this morning, but he popped right out of bed and got dressed.  We were determined to get RJ in a nice, posed picture, but (as you can see), that didn't happen.  The only photo I got of him was while he was running around the yard looking for Kaiden after he left on the school bus.  All day it felt strange without him...wishing it was his last day of first grade all over again so we could get a redo on the summer.

So today was 'the day'.  Kiersen started her gymnastics classes.  She was so excited she didn't want to sleep last night, and today as we were driving there, every 2 or 3 minutes she would says 'Mommy....I'm SOOOOO excited....are we there yet'.  I wasn't sure how she'd be once we got there, but she ran right into the gym and had a blast!  Too bad the gym is behind glass....meaning this mommy couldn't take any pictures of the actual tumbling!  She can't wait for next week!
